YBN's 12-speed chain is one of the lightest on the market and comes with an elegant black Ti-Nitride coating. The pins of the chain are hollow drilled for a low weight without affecting the strength. The long durability of the chain is due to the Chromium Carbide Surface Hardened Treatment - a process which increases the hardness of the pins many times over thanks to a special surface treatment. Furthermore, the chain works with an SLA coating (Superior Lubricating Aid). YBN worked for 2 years on the development of this Ni-PTFE Teflon coating. The chain generates less friction, runs more quietly and attracts less dirt thanks to its smooth surface. Of course, the plates have special machining to ensure a clean and fast shifting process.
